Back in June 2025, we featured a really cool story about a new White River based coffee company called Yoon's launching a new brand and expanding great coffee throughout the Lowveld.
Recently, we got to experience Yoons Coffee for ourselves, while flying out of Kruger Mpumalanga Airport.
As we're sure many of you can attest to, airport coffee is very hit and miss - but very, very neccessary!! So when you find a great one, it's worth spreading the word!
Yoon's is a collaboration between Yoons and Cast Iron Coffee Roastery.
Yoons is a Lowveld-established brand based in White River. It is owned and run by Unice-Anne, whose mom, Milly, and her family, with lots of history in the region, owned the iconic 'Milly's' on the N4. Unice has expanded Yoons from the original shop at White River Crossings to the White River Country Club and to KMI Airport (KMIA)
My flat white was very well made by Barista, Luyanda, who was friendly, efficient and worked quickly around his station.
There are several Yoon's dotted through the airport - one in the main hall, one in the departures lounge and so on, so rest assured, you can enjoy your coffee no matter where you are in the airport.
As for the airport itself - it is a an absolute pleasure to fly in and out of, and the view while taking off and landing is spectacular
