Tulbagh is a beautiful valley in the Swartland mountains in the Western Cape. It has some spectacular wine destinations, the olive farm and tasting is well worth the visit, but up until very recently, the coffee game has not been strong.
Enter Kole&Deeg!
I was visiting with Tulbagh locals and they were very happy to have Kole&Deeg as part of the main street trade, commenting that it has really had an impact on the local scene.
The coffee, a house blend roasted by Cedar Coffee, was lovely in a flat white. They also offer this and a couple offer Cedar options of 250g bags on their sweet deli counter.
The mango and mint smoothie was to die for on a sunny and hot morning and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their brekkies. The star being their house baked roosterbroodjies! Yum, what a treat. The beautiful pottery plates are also a fantastic touch.
