Siphosethu Luningo is the 2026 SCASA National Cup Tasters Champion
After a minor technical rule infringement unfortunately meant that Joshua Machelm was docked a few points, Sipho was crowned Champion for 2026 and heads to Bangkok, Thailand at the beginning of May to represent South Africa.
Both of these legends were part of an incredible crew in the Western Cape that trained together and they continue to support each other. We are very proud to see how the Yellow Jacket Team handled this disappointing situation and that they are behind Sipho in his journey towards Worlds!
Sipho has had a long career in coffee, that has stretched from behind the bar to learning to roast to building curriculums at African School of Coffee and now to his position as Sales Representative and Quality Control for Origin Truth Tribe (OTT). He is always growing and willing to learn and we are so proud of him.
