Consumed by Coffee: The Bloom of Coffee Culture in South Africa

We are in an extremely fortunate position. We get to experience first hand everyday how South Africa has embraced coffee and how the passion for the bean is pushing innovation and conversation and awareness and all round deliciousness. We set out to make a teaser to try to encapsulate the culture that so inspires us and with help of a handful of wonderful coffee professionals and the team at Go Yonder, we feel we have achieved that goal!

This is but a glimpse into the vibrant South African coffee culture and the people who are fueling coffee as a lifestyle for the growing number of coffee lovers in this country.

The most exciting part about this, is that this is only a tiny part of a booming industry and it's only going to get stronger from here.

We at The Coffee Magazine feel so privileged to be part of this global community of coffee and we are so proud of the local SA industry for pushing boundaries and bringing incredible coffee and stories to the people of South Africa!

We were at Urban Grind in Parkhurst yesterday when we got the final cut and we watched it with Wayne Burrows and we all got goosebumps!!!! Wayne offered up some awesome Urban Grind goodies and a Hario Ceramic Slim hand grinder for us to giveaway to celebrate our first little film. Thanks Wayne!
