Red Espresso awarded Runner-Up in the prestigious SAAFoST New Innovative Product Competition 2025

red espresso® was awarded Runner-Up in the prestigious SAAFoST New Innovative Product Competition 2025. Selected from a competitive pool of 34 entries, our red espresso® Instant Matcha Latte retail range was recognised for its excellence in innovation and strategic timing within the rapidly growing global matcha trend.

This bi-annual competition celebrates pioneering advancements in food science, technology, and innovation within the local industry. Entries were evaluated against a comprehensive set of criteria:

  • Innovation – Novelty and originality of the product
  • Sustainability – Environmental and social impact, including packaging considerations
  • Presentation – Quality of the application, product and packaging presentation, and regulatory compliance
  • Target Market Fit – Alignment with consumer expectations and needs
  • Market Potential – Ability to meet emerging trends, address unmet needs, and scale commercially
