The Lowveld Coffee Festival 2024 will take place at Church Unlimited Nelspruit on 9 & 10 August 2024. Coetzee Smit and Wynand le Roux are the Lowveld Coffee Festival Organizers and they are excited to welcome coffee lovers to the region: "It is a huge venue with a lot of opportunities and it is a long weekend and therefore we hope to attract plenty of people who travel to the lowveld during that time".
What can people expect? Two “lekker” days of awesome coffee, cup tastings, demonstrations, live coffee competitions, equipment, education, entertainment and off course, yummy food to compliment the coffee. A local celebration of all thing’s coffee, bringing together local coffee produce, roasteries, farmers, coffee enthusiasts, coffee businesses, and the local community young and old, in a vibrant and engaging setting to experience and further discover great coffee.
"We have approached the Specialty Coffee Association of Southern Africa “SCASA”, a nonprofit, membership-based body that exists to foster a community of coffee professionals and enthusiasts from across the value chain and throughout the region. We are pursuing to host a sanctioned Mpumalanga Regional Coffee Championship including barista, latte art and cup tasters’ competitions. The minimum is 8 participants per event and we have already received double the numbers in interest."

"We have already signed up several local roasters who specialize in artisanal coffee beans, small batches, special roast, experimental coffees or not, “kief” equipment, accessories, or related merchandise, our event provides an ideal platform for participating businesses to connect with their target audience and expand their brand presence in the region and possibly further regions. At this fest, you can showcase your brand, sell coffee and “merch” and will offer to be a great opportunity for you to promote your brand also make some “moola”."
