I have long heard about Breezeblock and it has many times been nominated in our Coffee Magazine Awards, but on a drizzly day and craving a cosy cafe space to work in, I finally found myself there.
And it was exactly what I needed.
The hostess welcomed me and noticing I had a backpack and with tables open, she offered me a 4-seater and showed me where the powerpoint was without me even having to ask. And a glass of water arrived a few seconds later, also without me asking.
The artistically and vintage inspired space has comfortable chairs, terracotta tones and little touches like 70's coloured glass sugar bowls. The outside section looks like it would be delightful to hang out in when the sun is shining, the succulent garden is gorgeous!

It reminded me of tiny little cafe I once went to outside of Copenhagen, homey and purposeful. The coffee arrived, glossy crema and served with a little cinnamon biscuit, very nostalgic to me, another sweet touch. I ordered Eggs Mirza from their All Day breakfast menu. It arrived with a lovely cloth napkin, real butter for the delicious bread and perfectly poached soft eggs. An art. The spicy aubergine with little mint and harissa touches was YUM. So happy with my choice and I look forward to exploring more of the menu on future visits.

They host regular events, Lit.Culture Books is also on site and it has a real community feel. Highly recommended.
